Sitting at the small bar inside Blue Heaven feels like “old Key West” again, which I love. I asked the bar tender “what makes this place special”. She began telling me about how the owners treat the staff, that the man who busses tables has been there 30 years and his son now works there. That she is a short timer with 5 years experience in the bar. They take care of their employees, cooks, wait staff, and their customers. It is predictable high quality.
I agree, my meal was excellent and the atmosphere so friendly. If you want to talk with people and get in quickly go to the indoor bar area, I sat right down when the wait for a table was 2 hours.
If you want to have your feet in the dirt with chickens entertaining while you eat a great meal, then wait for at table.
It’s a wonderful place for breakfast and probably any other meal!!
