”Who has the best key lime pie on the island?” I asked. “Blue Heaven.” I was told point blank by a very plugged in local who’d already set me onto the Santiago Bodega. It was a far better, much more “home made” version of Key Lime Pie than Kermits. While I’m not so into meringue, the pie itself was amazing, the crust crumbly as you would expect a home made pie to be. They make it on site as well in their bakery and have years of prizes and TV accolades as proof of their qualities.
If you want an amazing key lime pie slice, head to the Blue Heaven. Then keep walking down the street for the best meal you‘ll have on the island at Santiago‘s.
